Potpourri

In no particular order, here are the things on my mind as of today and recently...

There is no happier moment for Cindy in almost the whole world than when a girl wins the $50,000 on Wipeout. She absolutely cheers her little heart out for any girl that is on that show. And if they all get eliminated before the final round, she can barely muster the enthusiasm to keep watching. If memory serves me correctly, it's been a long time since a girl stuck it out to win, but tonight a girl finally won, which made Cindy scream, dance and give me a giant hug of ultimate happiness.

I was incredibly disappointed to learn today that the airlines are still not allowing anyone to carry liquids in quantities bigger than 4 oz on the airplane. As a traveler that is attempting to stick it to the man by not checking any luggage this Tuesday, I thumb my nose at the TSA. Vermin!

We gave away the last of the kittens today. I was really, really worried they would still be here when it was time to head to Utah, but out of the blue a nice girl called today and immediately came and got the last two black male kittens, Luke and Darth Vader. So the house is empty again! It's a huge relief, but I would be lying if I said I didn't miss those furry guys. I just love kittens, okay? If that is wrong, then I don't want to be right.

Cindy is handling her cast very well. She had an itchy freak out moment last night, but fell asleep soon after and hasn't mentioned anything since. Itching might be her biggest cast obstacle. When the doctor told her about the cast, she immediately teared up and started to tell him "But I have really, really itchy arms!" I could tell she was already getting claustrophobic. But today we went to the children's museum with some friends and it was the perfect chance to get out and be normal. If I'm doing the math right, the cast will be off about September 14th. Plenty of time for me to book that cruise. I mean, pool party.

When I cleaned out and repainted Cindy's room, we got rid of the gigantic TV in Cindy's room. It was way too big and would probably crush even the Hulk if it fell off the dresser just right, so she has been downgraded to about 22 inches and a VCR. Which means they have been constantly watching either of the two non-church VHS tapes we own, which are the SpongeBob Christmas movie and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. You read that correctly. Of all the movies in all the world to accidentally own on VHS, that had to be one of them. There is simply no justice in this world, is there?

That is all.
